Welcome to the NASW, Iowa Chapter
Iowa NASW is a chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) is the largest professional association of social workers, with over 145,000 members worldwide. NASW has led the way in setting standards for professional practice since the establishment of the Code of Ethics in 1955. NASW works with members and for members to create opportunities within the profession and with those we serve. Iowa Chapter members have opportunities for continuing education events, involvement in advocacy and social justice, and access to network with social workers across the state.

NASW, IOWA CHAPTER, TESTIFIES ON BEHALF OF MEDICAID EXPANSION

The Iowa Chapter has positions open on the Board effective July 1st. Members in good standing can run for an option position. This is a great way to share your voice at the table with your professional organization! Take the opportunity and the time to share your talents with NASW and help move the association forward!
Open positions include:
President Elect (1 year term followed by 2 years as Chapter President)
Vice President
Nominations & Leadership Chair
BSW Student Representative (1 year term)
MSW Student Representative (1 year term)
Central Branch Chair
Southeast Branch Chair

SOCIAL WORK SUPERVISION TRAINING
The Iowa Chapter is pleased to announce upcoming dates for the Supervision Training in Iowa. The Administrative Rules affecting social work Supervisors will go into effect on July 1, 2013. Make sure you have the up-to-date information and understand how the rules may impact you and your Supervisory experience!
