Ethical Implications in Working with Former Clients   “LIVE” & INTERACTIVE WEBINAR

Presented by Peggy Reed-Lohmeyer, MSW, LCSW

3.0 Clock Hours

This course meets the Ethics requirement for licensure renewal.

Consumers of mental health services are being employed and volunteering in numerous mental health agencies.  This change has brought wonderful additions to agency planning and service provision.  However, for many this has brought ethical concerns:  “Once a client always a client”… or at least until they are hired; then what?  This workshop will address that question and ethical issues involved in working as co-workers with former clients and other consumers of mental health services.

Educational Objectives:

1.Identify employee and volunteer roles of consumers

2.Identify potential ethical issues involved in working with former clients

3.Develop an ethical personal stance in his/her roles as co-workers with consumers and former clients
