Talk Saves Lives: An Introduction to Suicide Prevention

Presenter: Cassandra Linkenmeyer, Minnesota Area Director, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

Join us for a community-based presentation that covers the general scope of suicide, the research on prevention, and what people can do to fight suicide. Attendees will learn the risk and warning signs of suicide, and how together, we can help prevent it. This webinar is for social workers that work directly with individuals and families, in mental health or education systems, and those that are interested in having a general understanding of suicide prevention, its risks and warning signs.

About the Presenter

Cassandra Linkenmeyer is the Minnesota Area Director for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP.)  As a passionate advocate for mental health and suicide prevention, Cassandra has worked with volunteers across the state to bring prevention training, education, outreach, and loss support to all Minnesotans.  Cassandra’s mission, and the mission of AFSP, is to create a culture that’s smart about mental health and to bring hope and healing to all those who’ve been affected by suicide.
