Meets 3.0 hour supervision requirement for renewal of acceptable supervisors for licensure.


the 16-hour Supervision Certification Course, if your participation "totals" 3-hours in whichever format you choose from above.  These webinars can be independent programs or utilized as a continuation program.  The programs will review the newly released 2013 Best Practice Standards in Social Work Supervision, a collaborative publication of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB). 

Section I:  Provide an overview of supervision, discuss the general contextual matters important to the supervision process and review the conduct of supervision. Section 2:  Review the legal and
regulatory issues in supervision from the state and federal level, and Identify ethical issues for the
supervisory setting when providing services to clients and systems. 
Section 3:  Will discuss the
opportunities and challenges in providing supervision through various technologies, explore the evaluation and outcome piece of the supervisory process and the best practices for termination of the supervisory relationship.   

Participants will have a thorough understanding of the expectations and resources available to provide the best practice being established by the profession when providing supervision.


Note: The course above is required in subsequent renewal cycles, not the cycle in which you complete the 16-hour Supervision Skills Training.  When registering for this course, be prepared to provide date of original certification.
