NASW has put together an array of incredible workshops on a wide range of topics most requested by social workers in MN. Our Workshop Day will permit you to attend your choice of half-day workshops on the topics most interesting or relevant to your practice and passion. Whether you're in clinical practice or a macro practitioner, new to social work or a seasoned professional, supervising or in supervised practice, there are workshops for you!

"Beyond Trauma: The Biology of Shame and Thriving" will now be presented by Lauren Lietz, MSW, LICSW 
(rather than Tyler Reitzner)

Lauren W. Nietz, MSW, LICSW is the Training Institute Director at Washburn Center for Children. She has experience providing therapy to adults, children, groups, and families who are struggling with the effects of trauma. Lauren is a member of the School of Social Work Community Faculty at the University of Minnesota.


"Safe Harbor in a Storm, Part II" will be co-presented by Mary Cowen (rather than Kaitlyn Beise).

Mary is the Residential Program Manager at Life House, where she manages the Sol House housing program for Safe Harbor youth and The Loft Teen Shelter, serving teens who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation, trafficking and homelessness. Mary received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Women's Studies in 2011 from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
