Cultural Humility within the Mental Health Profession

Clinicians will be empowered to serve their clients with an enhanced awareness. The role of cultural humility in the treatment process will be defined, explored, and processed. Major ethnic and racial groups will also be explored to include the LGBTQ and #MeToo movement. Real life "ripped from the headlines" case studies will be addressed from a clinical perspective. Self-assessment and organization implantation will also be addressed. This process will be a safe space, and timely experience.


Participants will learn:

  • The difference between Cultural Competency & Cultural Humility
  • Core Competencies for Mental Health Professionals
  • Responding to clients culturally in meaningful manner
  • Cultivating a Culturally Humility Organization
  • Counseling major ethnic and cultural groups
  • The Cultural of Recovery
  • Short comings, stereotypes & Self-Assessment


Registration 8:00 am, workshop 8:30 am - 4:00 pm 

Registration fees-NASW Members $125.00, Other Professional $165.00
