Social Work Reinvestment (SWRI)

The Iowa Chapter began the process of looking at the needs of Iowa social workers. In 2008, the Chapter received the Ruth FIzdale Grant to complete research on the profession. The result was a report, "Social Work In Iowa: A Snapshot of the Profession in 2009" is available for review.

What Do Iowa Social Workers Want?

The Chapter completed a survey of Iowa social workers to gather information on the interest to move legislation forward. Three key issues that were at the forefront and discussed were social work salaries; loan forgiveness; and title protection. A copy of the full report and summary are available.
