Health Professional Services Program, professionals, like anyone else, are susceptible to substance abuse, psychiatric and medical conditions. If left untreated, these problems, when experienced by health professionals, can put clients at risk. The state of Minnesota's Health Professionals Services Program (HPSP) was created in 1994 as an alternative to board discipline. HPSP offers a proactive way to fulfill reporting requirements while getting confidential help for substance abuse and other psychiatric and mental health concerns.
