as we celebrate

60 Years of Oklahoma Social Work

The 2020 NASW-Oklahoma Conference will bring together social workers, allied professionals, and social work thought leaders for two days of unparalleled opportunities for continuing education, networking, and thought-provoking conversations on the best practices, pressing issues, and the latest trends in the industry.

Registration also includes plenary sessions,Networking Lunch, a lively exhibit hall, and the NASW-Oklahoma Annual Awards Dinner.

Who should attend? Social workers in all fields of practice, including healthcare organizations, educational institutions, private practice, government agencies, social services, non-profits, community-based health agencies, nursing homes, hospice care, and personnel from allied organizations.

With all the facets of the 2020 NASW-Oklahoma State Conference, there is sure to be something pertinent for everyone. Tighter budgets, however, mean that it’s more important than ever to justify the expense, especially when seeking employer support. We recommend putting together a clearly outlined proposal.

Here is a list of points to consider: The NASW-Oklahoma State Conference is designed to meet the intent and spirit of the NASW Code of Ethics, NASW Standards for Continuing Education, NASW Standards of Cultural Competence, and the NASW Standards for various social work practice areas. Attendees have the opportunity to earn more than 20 continuing education (CE) hours, including credits in ethics over a 2-day period.

If you are working to obtain or maintain your social work license, remind your supervisor that this is a great opportunity to earn these required hours in a short amount of time.

The NASW-Oklahoma State Conference offers unparalleled networking opportunities with social work experts and practitioners.

This year, the NASW-Oklahoma Board of Directors remain committed to adding value to the NASW-OK State Conference. All registration costs have been drastically reduced and additional sessions are available. Social Work Ethics sessions have been added to give attendees more choices and more times to attend. Expanding session times allow attendees to take breaks at their own pace and receive more CEU's per day.

NASW Members have access to all sessions on each day, including vendors, and the awards dinner for the low price of $225 $200 for a limited time.

Gold Members and Retired NASW-Oklahoma members. As always, we recognize the need to stay informed, but do so in an affordable manner for our long time NASW members. All NASW Gold and Retired members admission is only $75. Non-NASW members that are retired can still enjoy the conference for a 50% discount.

Demonstrating our commitment to the future of Oklahoma Social Work, current CSWE social work student members of NASW will have full access to the conference for a low, low price of $50. For students that are not current NASW members, a 60% discount or $80 is still available.

The NASW-Oklahoma State Conference requires the time and talents of many skilled volunteers throughout the year. This year, a total of 40 student volunteer positions is available. Each student volunteer will receive a limited edition 2019 NASW-OK State Conference Volunteer t shirt, as well as full access to the conference for 80% off regular admission or the low price of $25.

Two days away from work is often a luxury for social workers. For those that can not attend the entire conference, daily rates are available. Each day will provide no less than 3 hours of Social Work Ethics and 6 hours of Category I CEU's for $125.
